Biography

Sir Thomas Hamilton, Lord Priestfield

In 1597 he had charter of Balbyn, Drumcairn and Priestfield.2 He was styled as Lord Priestfield in 1607.2 He held the office of Lord of Session [Scotland] from 1607 to 1608.[1]

He married, firstly, Elizabeth Heriot, daughter of James Heriot, in 1558

Children:

  4. Alexander died 26 Nov 1649
  5. Christian
  6. Thomas born 1563 died 29 May 1637

He married, secondly, Elizabeth Murray, daughter of Sir Andrew Murray of Blackbarony and Grizel Bethune.
