Biography

Marianne was born in 1849. She was the daughter of William Hamilton and Charlotte Laker. She passed away in 1929.

On Friday 15 inst. Mrs M A. Whittle, widow of the late A. Whittle of Emu Bay, passed away in Adelaide The deceased who was born at Happy Valley 80 years ago, was a daughter of the late W. H. Hamilton. She married tbe late J. Boxer, and was left a widow with a young family. She then married tbe late A. Whittle. The deceased has been away from the Island for over twenty years. There are four sons by the first marriage, Messrs E., P., A. G. and W. R. Boxer, and one son (Mr H. Whittle) by the second marriage. ^[1]
