- HAMILTON, John F., 86, of Main Street, Rayland, Ohio, died Wednesday, June 25, 2008[1], in East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry, Ohio.
- He was born October 8, 1921, son of the late George and Louisa Chapell Hamilton.
- He retired in 1984 from Blaw Knox; was a WWII Army veteran (Oct 17, 1942-December 14, 1945)[2]; and was a member of VFW Post 4811, Yorkville, Ohio.
- In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, George S. Hamilton.
- Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Marion (Light) Hamilton; a son, Larry (Mary Ann) ; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, all of Baltimore; and a nephew, George R. Hamilton of the Philippines.
- Friends will be received to pay tribute to John and to celebrate his life on Saturday, from 4-7 p.m. at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, Ohio, with a military service at 7 p.m. conducted by the Belmont County Council of the V.F.W[3]
