Daniel Hamilton was born April 13, 1823 to unknown parents[1]. He appears to have had a sister Lois, who married James Killam, son of James Mattingly Killam[2] in 1856, and had 2 children before she died. James remarried in 1862.
Daniel was the father of several children, including:
John Hamilton, born 1846, who married Sarah Trefry, the daughter of Joshua Pitman and Sarah Hurlburt Trefry of Tusket Lake[3][2]
Amanda Jane Hamilton, born 1855, who married Azor Porter[4]
David Hamilton, born 1860, who married Elizabeth Brittain[5]
His wife in the 1881 Census is Amy, who was also referred to as Anne[6]. She may have been his second wife.
This record shows he died sometime after the 1901 Census

Hamilton-15027 and Hamilton-87 appear to represent the same person because: Hamilton-87 was an unsourced blank and private profile indicating he was intending to be the father of John Hamilton. I inadverdently disconnected him from John, and privacy settings prevent restoring that relationship. This can all be addressed in the merge with the duplicate profile, which includes the missing bio and sources.
