Hi Kelly, I saw your comment on James Harold Doolittle saying that he is one of your ancestors. He is one of mine, as well, and I just thought that was interesting and wanted to share that we are distantly related.

Hi Kelly,

The Ireland Project (previously the Irish Roots Project) has now changed its structure into Teams. We require everyone with the Ireland Badge to be a member of at least one Team or Sub-Team and our google group. See https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Ireland for details. The Teams are :-

1. Categories Team
2. Counties Team
3. Managed Profiles Team
4. Membership Team
5. Profile Improvement Team
6. Topics Team
7. Diaspora

? Can you let me know if you’d like to stay on in the new project and which team(s) you’d like to join. Please also let me know your e-mail address so that I can get you added to the project’s Google Group or confirm you are already a member of the google group.

Many thanks,

Maria

Hi Kelly , Thanks for joining the project google community. Excellent and welcome! I've added the project badge to your profile. If you click on the badge it will take you to the full list of our wonderful members. Clicking on the link Irish Roots Project will take you the first page of the project. Scroll down to participants where I've added your good self. Here you can let members know your Counties, clan/family names etc of interest etc. I'll let you explore and catch up with you later. Feel free to add anything to the County pages and let me know any clan or family name pages you want me to set up for you. Thanks again for joining and enjoy.

Thank you Kelly. I have "connected the dots" to questions I and my family have been asking for generations. It's quite an amazing feeling.

Too cool that's the right line! I can get from Aaron to Alles, going through a couple of "orphaned" profiles (such as Mendenhall-98). If you want to be profile manager for those, just click on the "adopt this profile." For other Mendenhalls in your line, click the "request to join the Trusted List" link (in a box toward the bottom left of the page, below the section where text can be added). I can add you to any that I'm a profile manager for - let me know if you want to be a profile manager for any of them. (being added to the trusted list puts the profile on your watchlist- see http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Trusted_List. If you're a profile manager, you'll get an e-mail of any messages posted in the bulletin board and merge proposals).

I don't know what timeframe your Mendenhalls are from, but in working with Dixons, I encountered two: brothers John and Aaron, who married Dixon sisters Susanna and Rose in the early 1700s. See www.wikitree.com/wiki/Pierson-241

Cheers, Liz

Hello, I am very interested in my genealogy. Some of the family names I am researching are Doolittle, Pentland, Benedict, Mendenhall, Mainwaring, and Hammes. I am new to this so any help or suggestions would be great.
