Teresa was born on 26 February 1917 in Ridge, St. Mary's County, MD. She was the daughter of Alfred Franklin Hammett and Mary Teresa Wilkinson.[1]

In the 1920 census Teresa (age 2) was living in Saint Inigoes, St Marys, Maryland.[1]

When Teresa was 19 she married Cyril Joseph Gerek on 13 April 1936 in St. Michaels RCC, Ridge MD. The couple had 6 children: Francis Joseph Gerek, Elizabeth Ann Gerek, Charles Michael Gerek, Rodrick Edward Gerek, Cyril Patrick Gerek and Mary Rosalie Gerek.[2][3]

Obt: 20 June 2003.[4]

Teresa died at the age of 86 on 20 June 2003 in St. Mary's Co., MD.[5]

Teresa was buried on 24 June 2003 in St. Cecilia's Ch., St. Mary's City, MD.[6]
