Obituary - HAMMONDS - CHARLES WALTER, 66, died Tuesday afternoon at the residence, 1311 East 13th Street. He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Nealie Hammonds, Chattanooga: two sons, Edward Hammonds, Summerville, GA: James Smith, Chattanooga: two daughters, Mrs. Lucille Wood, Lindale, Ga., and Mrs. C.M. Ricketts, Wallings Creek, Ky.: two brothers, Jim and Brady Hammonds, Trion, Ga: four sisters, Mrs. Mae Westbrooks and Mrs. Evie Jennings, Rome, Ga.: Mrs. Annie Westbrooks, LaFayette and Mrs. Pearl Whitlow, Shannon, Ga. and several grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock THursday morning at Cosmopolitan Funeral Home, with the Rev. R.F. Faulkner officiating. Interment will be in Chattanooga Memorial Park. The body is at the funeral home.
