Biography

July 19, 1716 -- Hannah Hammond was born at Ipswich, Essex County, Massachusetts Bay Province. Hannah Hammond was a daughter of Thomas Hammond of Ipswich and Hannah Platts Lancaster Hammond. [1]

Hannah Hammond, recorded as the daughter of Thomas Hammond Sr., was baptized in Rowley, Massachusetts, in July 1716.[2]

June 8, 1724 -- Thomas Hammond deeded his final homestead to his two daughters, Hannah and Mary, both minors, to hold during their lives. [3]

August 15, 1739 -- Lieutenant Nathaniel Bradstreet and Hannah Hammond married at Ipswich, Essex County, Massachusetts Bay Province. [4][5]

Lieutenant Nathaniel Bradstreet and Hannah Hammond Bradstreet (2d wife) had five children: three daughters (Elizabeth, Mary, and Sarah) and two sons (Nathaniel and John). [6]

November 30, 1752 -- date of Lieutenant Nathaniel Bradstreet's will. It mentioned his wife Hannah "who is to have 'that land which was in my Uncle John's division;' son Moses to have the homestead; son Nathaniel; son John; and daughters Elizabeth, Mary, Sarah, and Hannah (Essex Probate 331. Page 99)." [7]

December 2, 1752 -- Lieutenant Nathaniel Bradstreet, "in his 48th year," died at Ipswich, Essex County, Massachusetts Bay Province. [8]

December 25, 1752 -- date on which Lieutenant Nathaniel Bradstreet's will was probated. [9]

October 26, 1787 -- date of Hannah Hammond Bradstreet's will. It mentioned son Nathaniel: son John; daughter Mary Pearson; daughter Sarah Conurn; children of deceased daughter Elizabeth Plummer; and son-in-law Nathan Pearson, executor. (Essex Probate 362. Page 67). [10]

April 1, 1792 -- Hannah Hammond Bradstreet died at Ipswich, Essex County, Massachusetts Bay Province. [11]

May 7, 1792 -- date on which Hannah Hammond Bradstreet's will was probated. [12]
