Sarah was born February 15, 1727/1728, in Rowley, Essex County, Massachusetts, the daughter of David and Mary Hammond.[1][2]
Joseph Tredwell/Treadwell and Sarah Hammonds announced their intention to marry on January 10, 1746, in Ipswich, Essex County, Massachusetts.[3][4]

546 (V) SARAH HAMMOND, (David4) bapt. Feb. 12, 1727-28; m. Jan. 10, 1746, Joseph Treadwell of Ipswich, b. Feb. 3, 1716-17; d. bef 1764. He removed to Dracut, Mass., in 1752, but no records of his family can be found there. His widow was living in Newburyport in 1769, and sold land in Ipswich, Rowley and Newburyport in that year. The one hundred acres of land which Joseph purchased in Dracut, was mortgaged in 1752 to David Hammond of Ipswich. She m. (2) in Newburyport, Mass., about 1769, __ Davis, by whomm she had one child.
