Biography
Florence A. Hammond was the daughter of Fayette Hammond and Mary Pel (Florence's sister's marriage record has Mary's maiden name as Peo).
She married Lawrence Giffin in 1925[1]. Their marriage record reads:
- Lawrence W. Giffin, 23, butcher, born and residing in Brockville, Ontario, son of Gordon Giffin and Carrie Cowan, married
- Florence A. Hammond, 20, residing in Carthage, N.Y., born in Adams, N.Y., daughter of F.A. Hammond and Mary Pel (sic),
- On March 18, 1925, at Carthage, Jefferson, New York.
Together they had one son, John, who predeceased his mother.
Florence died in West Palm Beach, Florida, on November 30, 1977[2].
She was buried in Plattsburgh, New York.
