Nathaniel Hammond was born February 6, 1763 in Rochester, Massachusetts. His parents were Faunce Hammond and Mary Holmes. He was a shoemaker, and lived at South Woodstock (in Windsor County, Vermont).
Nathaniel married Mary Adams (who was born in 1755, and died October 29, 1821).
