Biography

Charles was born in Christchurch in 1919. He was the son of William Hammond and Emily Fantham. [1]

He was married to Margaret Ward in Timaru in 1943, but re-married in 1950 to Betty Rae Pullin in Wellington.

Charles and Betty had three daughters and one son.

Charles's occupation is recorded on his death certificate as ex-serviceman and painter & paperhanger.

He passed away in Timaru Public Hospital in 1977 and is buried in Timaru.
