Biography

Gervais was a son of Job Hammond II and Amadine Baylis. He married Mildred Lee about 1749. He married Ann Everett. He married Mary Stone in 1794.[1]

Gervais wrote his will on 9 January 1801. It mentions his wife Mary, and the following children:

  1. Gervise Hammond, Jr.
  2. oldest daughter, Mildred "Millie" Stone
  3. Job Hammond
  4. Nancy Edwards

His estate was probated on 08 Aug 1803 in Nelson County, Kentucky. Proved by oath of Austin Hubbard, Isaac Ruble, Joseph Morris. Exc. Gervise Hammond, Jr. and Job Hammond.
