He married first to Priscilla Sampson by 27 December 1712, probably in Dartmouth, Massachusetts Bay, the date given in a deed in which Samuel mentions his father-in-law james Samson, late of Dartmouth, deceased, having made a deed of gift on 27 December 1712.[3] She was the daughter of James and Hannah Sampson, born in Dartmouth,[1] about 1689-1692. [4] Priscilla died, probably in Darmouth after 06 December 1727, the date of a receipt which she signed for her legacy from the estate of her father, James Samson.[1]
Samuel married, secondly, Deliverance Adminster on 05 November 1730 in Rochester. She was the daughter of James and Ann Adminster/Edmaster. She was named in her father's will, dated 13 May 1723 and proved 1728, as Deliverance Edmaster. Deliverance died after 15 May 1748, probably in Rochester.[1]
Samuel Hammond, (See Notes below.) b. perhaps about 1720 at Rochester;[1] married Mary Turner,[5] born in 1724, in Dartmouth, a daughter of Christopher Turner and Katherine West West-802.
Abigail Hammond, b. prob. 1714, possibly Dartmouth or Rochester;[6][7] mar. Jonathan Delano on 14 November 1734 at Dartmouth. [7]
Note about possible son Samuel:[1] "According to the Hammond Genealogy, Samuel Hammond had a large family born to him in Darmouth, among whom was a son Samuel, who married Elizabeth Edminster and lived in Rochester, Mass. Primary source material to support this scenario is not in hand."
Note about possible son Samuel:[6] "They may have had a son Samuel who m. Rochester 5 Nov 1730 Deliverance Edminster (if not, she is his father's 2nd wife). However, no proof has been found."

I've updated the bio somewhat, and included the list of children found in the Mayflower Families ("silver book") on the Cooke family. Samuel married twice, and among his children is a son Barnabas, but not a child named Mason.
