↑ Source: #S405 Page: unknown newspaper Data: Text: Eli Hamp was born in Holmes County, Ohio, March 21 1832, and died Aug 17, 1910, aged 78 years, 4 months, and 26 days. He has lived in this township, Fulton, ever since he was three years old. The 75 years residence here has witnessed a wilderness changed to fertile fields and magnificent homes. He enlisted and servced his country in the war of the Rebellion from which he was honorable discharged. He was a member of the G.A.R. Quiggle Post. CONT He married, Bathdheba Mead Aug. 10, 1851, and to them were born 7 children, 3 boys who have gone before and 4 girls who are living. He was a kind and affectionate husband, a kind father and good citizen. CONT An aged companion who has shared his toils and triumphants for 59 years, 4 daughters, 31 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren survive him.
