Edna I Hampton[1] was born on May 16, 1893, in Asheville, North Carolina, the child of John Hampton[2] and Julia Slagle. She married George W Britt on September 19, 1914[3], in Buncombe, North Carolina. She died on October 5, 1948, in her hometown at the age of 55, and was buried October 7, 1948, at Riverside Cemetery[4], in Asheville, North Carolina.
