Biography

Elizabeth Brand was born in Rolvenden, Kent, England in 1793.^[1] She married John Handcock on November 20, 1819 in Pluckley, Kent.^[2]

They emigrated to the United States on the ship Xenephon in 1826, arriving in New York City.^[3]

In 1830 they were living in Westfield, Chautauqua, New York.

In 1840 and 1850, they were living in Swan Creek, Fulton, Ohio.^[4]

She must have died before 1860 because she is not listed in the census that year. She is buried in Berkebile Cemetery, York, Fulton, Ohio.^[5]
