James Hancock/Handcock, was a son of John Hancock of Corsham, Wiltshire.[1] His year of birth is unknown.
In the will of his father John Handcock of Lyppiatts, Corsham, Yeoman, the will made on 12 Aug 1692, the Testator made a bequest to his son James Handcock.[1]
He married Sarah, surname unknown.[2]
Mr James Handcocke of Lippeatt died 06 Sep 1715 and was buried on 09 Sep 1715 at Corsham, Wiltshire.[3]
In his will dated 10 Aug 1715 and proved 12 Sep 1715 he was recorded as "James Handcock of Lipyeats in the parish of Corsham in ye County of Wilts Gent".[2] He made bequests to:
The rest and residue of his good he bequeathed to his wife Sarah Handcock whom he made sole Executrix.
