George Loftus Elliott Hancock was born in Hoylake, Cheshire in 1898. In World War I, he served as a Private in the 11th Battalion of the East Lancashire Regiment. He died in 1972 in Northampton.
Research Notes
George's father Alfred, along with Alfred's cousin George Strangman Hancock, were very interested in the Hancock family history. Alfred made copies of family wills and other papers. George's descendants may have inherited some of this material.
