James was born in 1766. He was the son of Jacob Hanks and Sarah Bruce.[1]

He married
James Hanks died at the age of 88 in Belchertown, Hampshire, Massachusetts, United States in 1854. [2]

Hanks-1615 and Hanks-1609 appear to represent the same person because: Same dates; birth location on Hanks-1609 appears to be incorrect given that all other children were born in Massachusetts
