The current biography is that of James’ nephew, Benjamin, son of Jacob Hanks and Sarah Bruce. It has nothing to do with James Hanks who died December 25, 1756 while serving in the French and Indian War, according to Susan Cotton Tufts in her NEHGS Register article titled “Benjamin Hanks of Pembroke and Easton, Mass., and Some of His Descendants,” Vol. LXXXVI. January 1932, Page 10.

Hanks-3120 and Hanks-136 are not ready to be merged because: Some of the dates are conflicting, first names don't math.

Hanks-213 and Hanks-136 appear to represent the same person because: I can't say for sure that these are the same person, but there are several similarities including same birth date by one year difference; same parents; same wives.

Certainly deserves a look. :-)

Thanks!

Hanks-354 and Hanks-136 appear to represent the same person because: same spouse.
