Biography

Sgt John Hanks was born on December 25, 1739, in Duxbury, (Pembroke), Plymouth County, Massachusetts. He is the son of John Hanks and Mary Delano. He passed away on January 21, 1804, in Duxbury, (Pembroke), Plymouth County, Massachusetts.[1]

He married ABIGAIL SAMPSON on March 25, 1773, in Duxbury, (Pembroke), Plymouth County, Massachusetts.[2] She was born on January 4, 1738/39, in Duxbury, (Pembroke), Plymouth County, Massachusetts; and died on March 26, 1822, in Duxbury, (Pembroke), Plymouth County, Massachusetts.[3][4][5]

Military service: Sergeant, Revolutionary War."[6]
