Melville S. Hanna [1] [2] was born in Wellington County and began his life in Guelph, Ontario, Canada.
He married Grace, daughter of Patrick Donnelly and Elizabeth Richardson, in Vancouver, Washington on Mar. 27, 1919. She was born in Thornton, Washington. They lived in various places in Oregon from Roseburg to Tumalo. Melville was a rancher and farmer and at various times was in dairy cattle, hogs, turkeys, beef cattle and sheep.[3]
He served on Lane County school boards and was a charter member of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Posse. He was a lifetime member of Presbyterian churches and was a member of Myrtle Creek Masonic Lodge and Bend Eagles Lodge 2089. He is buried at the Oddfellows Cemetery in Myrtle Creek.[4][5]
He and Grace died in Redmond, Oregon.[6]
