Princess Caroline Elizabeth (or "Elisabeth") was born in 1713 in Herrenhausen Palace in Hanover, Germany.
When her grandfather, George, the Elector of Hanover, became King of Great Britain in 1714, she moved to Britain with her mother, Caroline, Princess of Wales, and her sisters the Princesses Anne and Amelia. The family lived at St James's Palace, London, England.
She died unmarried in 1757, aged 44. She was buried in Westminster Abbey, London.
