Christian was baptized and confirmed in Neterson, Germany. He came to the U.S. at the age of 17, which was in 1882, and engaged in farming.
Christian married Annie Margaret Plambeck August 29, 1891 in Douglas County, Nebraska. They bought a farm and he lived there the rest of his life. The date of Intention for Naturalization was April 1894. His sponsors were H.A. Hansen and George Plambeck.The date on his Naturalization card was October 15, 1891.
The 1900 US Census says he was called Chris and that he farmed. The 1920 Census says Christian was Naturalized on 1896. He owned his home and it was mortgage free. The census says his father was from Denmark and his mother from Holstein, Germany. His wife and children were born in Nebraska.
Christian died at home from Lombar pneumonia at home. Buried at Mount Auburn Cemetery, Millard, Nebraska.[1] [2]
