Biography

Cora was born on 8 March 1890 in Carroll, Georgia, United States. She was the daughter of William Wallace Hanson and Minnie Ida (Nolan) Hanson.[1]

In the 1900 census Cora (age 10) was living in Militia District 714, Carroll, Georgia.[1]

In the 1910 census Cora (age 20) was living in Carrollton, Carroll, Georgia.[2]

In the 1920 census Cora (age 29) was living in Carrollton, Carroll, Georgia.[3]

In the 1930 census Cora (age 40) was living in Militia District 714, Carroll, Georgia.[4]

Cora Boyd was enumerated as head of the household at 102 Maple Street, Carrollton, Carroll County, Georgia for the January 3, United States Census, 1920. She was noted as born 1891 in Georgia and single. She was a renter as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are daughter Quindal Boyd and daughter Katie Mae Boyd.[5]

Cara Smith was enumerated as wife of the head of household at Villa Rica Highway, Militia District 714, Carroll County, Georgia for the April 5, United States Census, 1930. She was noted as born 1890 in Georgia and married. She was first married at the age of thirty-four as seen in an image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Morgan E Smith, son Lewis Smith, daughter Mary Smith, stepdaughter Quendel Boyd and stepdaughter Katie M Boyd.[6]
