Peterson, Mildred Louise (Hanson) Born April 13, 1917. Died June 26, 2014 at age 97 in Chisago City, MN. Mildred was born in Orrock Township MN the eldest daughter of NZ and Anna (Bly) Hanson and graduated from high school in Elk River. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Walter Peterson from Hallsberg Sweden, her parents, sisters Shirley Ann, Betty, and Helen and brothers Myron, Zenas, Newton (Bud), and Dale. She is survived by: brother Robert Hanson of Mesa AZ, son Walter Peterson Jr of Chisago City, daughter Nancy Knutsen (Dodd) of the Town of Osceola, WI, grandson Karl Knutsen (Jennifer) and great-grand- daughters Elise and Nicole Wash, DC, and grandson Peder Knutsen (Laura) and great-grandsons Karsten, Cole, and Cooper Mpls, MN. Also survived by many nieces and nephews in the US and Sweden. Mildred lived most of her adult life in NE Mpls also Roseville and Saint Anthony Village. For several decades she was a prominent part of the workforce at Dalsbo's Bakery on 29th and Johnson St. NE (now Sarah Jane's). A woman of strong faith she was a member of Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church in NE Mpls. Proud of her Norweigan heritage she was a member of the Sons of Norway Vonheim Lodge. Mildred was passionate about God, her family especially her grandchildren, Minnesota Twins, and baking. We thank God for her long life and the community of friends for their support. The family greatly appreciates the loving care provided by Dr Elaine Holstein of Allina Health and the staff of Parmly Lifepoints in Chisago City, MN. Memorials preferred to Gustavus Adolphus Church or Sharing Caring Hands. Celebration of Mildred's life will be held on October 25, 2014 at 11 AM at Gustavus Adolphus Church 27th and Lincoln St NE.
