Eleanor of Austria, also Eleonor of Castile and Leonor de Habsburgo (in Spanish and Portuguese) Éléonore (or Aliénor) de Habsbourg (in French) born on the 15 Nov 1498 at Bruxelles, Brabant, (now Belgium) the daughter of Philip Hapsburg, Archduke of Austria and Queen Joanna of Castile - ) Archduchess of Austria and Infanta of Castile of the House of Habsburg in her own right. Queen consort of Portugal (1518-21) as the third wife of King Manuel of Portugal and Queen Consort of France, as the wife of Francis I, King of France. Duchess of Touraine (1547/1558) as dower.
She died 25 February 1558 at Talavera La Real, Badajos, Spain and was buried in El Escorial, Madrid, Spain.
