Biography

Thomas Harbour performed Patriotic Service in North Carolina in the American Revolution.

Thomas Harbour is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A051357.

Thomas Adonijah Harbour was the youngest son of Thomas & Sarah Witt Harbour. Harbours in America Publication: 1979

In 1767 he lived in a tithable entry with his father. In 1768 he did some trading with a Palatiah Shelton & obtained a deed for 200 acres in Falls Creek.

August 25, 1769 he married a neighbor Ann Dalton in Pittsylvania County. Only a few years later Adonijah later moved across the border to North Carolina. After a short stay, he moved his family to East Baton Rouge, Louisiana.[1]

After the death of Ann Dalton about 1820, Adonijah remarried Charlotte Gallihue Dalton, widow of Ann's (Nancy) brother Samuel Dalton. Charlotte was the daughter of William Gallihue and Anne Kenner. Charlotte & Adonijah had at least 1 daughter, Ann Kenner Harbour who married Thomas Singletary Cantey in 1820.

Charlotte died about 1805. Adonijah died at the age of 72 in East Baton Rouge, Louisiana. His will was probated with a son Pleasant Harbour as his executor, September 26, 1815 in East Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
