John Harbour immigrated to New England as a child during the Puritan Great Migration (1621-1640).
Birth
John Harbour was born in England in about 1630. He was the son of John Harbour Sr. and his first wife (name unknown).[1]
Emigration
He most likely emigrated to New England with his father John and his mother whose name is unknown before 24 February 1639/40, when his father received a grant of 12 acres at Mt. Wollaston for three heads.[2]
Marriage
John Harbor married Jael Thayer on 17 March 1654 in Braintree.[3]
Later Life
John Harber was one of the original proprietors of Mendon in 1663.[4]
However, he returned to Braintree by 3 November 1673 before the Indian Wars in 1675. He took the oath of allegiance in Briantree in about 1678.[3]
Death
John passed away in Feb 1679/80 in Braintree, Massachusetts. His widow was made administrator of his estate for her self and her children on 8 April 1680.[3][5]
