Lived in Harrisonburg, Virginia from 1999 to 2003.
Taught social studies at Wilson Memorial High School 2001-2003.
Lived in Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic from 2003-2015. During this time, he taught at a boarding school (to 2009), founded non-profits to help victims of prostitution, and (with his wife) rescued or otherwise tried to help nearly 200 dogs.
Graduated from Asbury Theological Seminary with an MA in Theological Studies in 2011.
