Francis "Franky," daughter of Thompson Harden and Polly Spear or Spurr or Sphar, was born in Clark County, Kentucky, in 1821. She was married in Clark County on January 28, 1845, to William Bullitt Combs by J. Thomas Boone, minister of the gospel. Their children were Sarah Frances, James Ennis, Julia Frances, Milton Cuthbert, William Wallace, John D., and Mary Alice Combs. Francis died in 1885 and is buried in the Chrisman Cemetery in Knob Lick, Kentucky.
