She married 2nd, 5 Sep 1867, probably Troy, Waldo, Me. Hiriam Hillman. There is no record of her first marriage to Peter Dyer but in her obit it says she was 1st married to him and in her son's Civil War papers she gives her marriage date.
There is no record of her 1st marriage or death record for her but a copy of her obit gives her date of birth, states who she married first and second, number of children and grandchildren. When she applied for a pension from son Benson's Civil War service she had to prove her marriage to Peter and Peter's death. It is stated in the papers.
She was Hiram Hillman's 3rd wife, he married 1st 18 June 1831; 2nd Dorcas Chase Emeline Stevens 4 Mar 1848and had the following children by 1st wife in Troy ME: George F 9 Aug 1832, Charles E 12 Feb 1835; a daughter born 13 Aug 1843. Emeline died 6 Jan 1847 Troy ME [VR p 29][1]
