LINCOLN -- Helen Mary Cote, 95, formerly of Lincoln Green, died Oct. 20, 2002, at the Grafton County Nursing Home.

She was born in Orange on Aug. 29, 1907, the daughter of Harry and Mary (Martin) Harding.

Mrs. Cote raised her three children in Ashland and was employed by L.W. Packard Woolen Mills. She lived in Plymouth for a time and was most recently a resident of Lincoln.

She was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church. She was active in the Women's Auxiliary Group at the Church of the Messiah in North Woodstock.

She was predeceased by her husband, George T. Cote Sr., who died in 1987.

Family members include a son, George "Skip" T. Cote Jr. of Blaytheville, Ark.; two daughters, Virginia C. Sargeant of Thornton and M. Priscilla Gionet of Lincoln; seven grandchildren; 15 geat-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and cousins.

SERVICES: Calling hours will be held in Mayhew Funeral Home, 12 Langdon St., Plymouth, on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Highland Street, Ashland, on Wednesday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Goldwaite Sherrill, rector, will officiate. Burial will be in Green Grove Cemetery, Ashland.
