Biography

Rosina married Herbert Martin Wilton in 1900. He divorced her in 1911, before she married Charles Edward Sowman, also in 1911. After Charles died in 1920, she married George Presley Hutcheon in 1921, and later Henry Leonidas Blackler in 1939.

Masterton Divorce Case

Masterton, March 28
In the Divorce Court to-night, the jury in a case in which Herbert Martin Wilton sued for a divorce from his wife Rosina Wilton on the ground of adultery with Chas. Sowman returned a verdict for the petitioner, and awarded £100 damages against co-respondent. His Honour granted a decree nisi, to be made absolute in three months.

DIVORCE.
WILTON v. WILTON.
Herbert Martin Wilton sued for a divorce from Rosina Elizabeth Wilton on the ground of adultery with Charles Sowman, borough over-seer, Masterton. The petitioner claimed the sum of £500 damages from the co-respondent, also that he pay the costs of the proceedings. Petitioner further asked for the custody of the two children.
Mr T.M. Wilford appeared for petitioner, Mr C.A. Pownall for respondent, and Mr Jackson for the co-respondent.
The following jury was empanelled:- A. Young (foreman), J.K. Blinkhorne, T. Bannister, H.C. Donald, W. Hubbard, C.S. Ball, C. Stevens, W.H. Judd, C.H. Ladner, W.C. Coulter, Frederick Evans and E.A. Mercer.
His Honour said he would exercise his power and forbid the publication of the evidence in this case.
