Biography
Sarah was born at Hartshill in 1835[1][2], she married William Elkin at Hartshill on 8 Mar 1859[3][4], and they had nine children. In 1861 the family was living at Stoke Road, Penkhull[5] and WIlliam was a Brick and Tilemaker like his father. By 1869, he had become a Police Constable living at Adderley Green, Caverswall.[6][7][8][9]. Sarah died in 1901[10].
