Robert (27) married Diana Clark (20) (born about 1802 in South Shields, Durham, England; daughter of Thomas Clark and Mary (Cousons) Clark) on February 3, 1823 in South Shields, County Durham. Their children were:
Robert died on June 27, 1861 in Avoca, Colony of Victoria, aged about 65.
