Research Notes

Evans-3182 18:16, 8 December 2021 (UTC) This profile was mixed up with https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Hardy-5619, Thomas, son of Thomas. This Thomas, son of William, married Mary and was DAR Patriot A050558 Thomas Hardy-5619, son of Thomas married Phebe and was DAR Patriot A050560.

Thomas had another wife, Pheobe Jeter Beuford (1741 - 1810), and they had a son Freeman Hardy Sr (my ancestor).

I searched the listed source (below), and found a marriage record for a Thomas (b. 1753) and Phoebe (b. 1755) (,U.S. and International Marriage Records, 1560-1900) but those dates were way different from the already conflicting data. And also for Thomas (b. 1754) and Mary Rachel Isham (b. 1751) married 1768 in Virginia. Note: Isham-31 has had her name changed to Phebe, and Phebe is the wife of Hardy-5619

DAR Records Note: This record also belongs to Hardy-5619

I found a record for Thomas Hardy, m Phoebe Beauford, with a son Freeman Hardy:DAR record, descendant of Freeman Hardy, son of Patriot Ancestor Thomas Hardy:

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Thomas by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Thomas:

His mother is Mary Wynne. Mary Covington is his grandmother. I have corrected his profile to reflect who his mother is.

During my Data Doctor rounds, I noticed this profile is on my check-up list for Data Doctor-Error 209: Father is also a sibling. You can read more about this here on the help page for this suggestion: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:DBE_209.

The profile needs to be evaluated and make the necessary changes. I appreciate your help and please let me know if I can help you in any way!

Also Have you checked your suggestion list? I work mine every week, it is so helpful. I learn a lot watching the videos and correcting errors.

Thanks,

Debbie

I detached the mother as the DAR records indicate ...I added his 1776 stickers after the detach when the Wikitree system would finally allow a SAVE on this profile

looking at the changes... It seems the man who married Mary Isham should be born 1745/died 1812 at Horse Cave, Hart, Kentucky, United States. Marriage to Mary Rachel Isham (Isham-31) Lunenburg County, Virginia, 1768.

See this Changes page also.

Added info from/link to his DAR record. Upon saving, received the following automated message:
Warning: Check the data.
  • A child's birth date (Hardy-251 born 18 Jan 1732) should not be before a parent is six years old (mother Wynne-997 born 1727).

Thanks Liz. Previously there was some funny business going on with the data fields (because of the quotes). I'm sure the "BI" came in from the original gedcom import 8 years ago, so no idea why it was there in the first place.

Feel free to make and document any changes necessary.

Hardy-3353 and Hardy-251 do not represent the same person because: Different parents.

Hardy-3353 and Hardy-251 appear to represent the same person because: Same wife. The children listed in the biography for Hardy-3353 appear to include children who are connected to Hardy-251.
