Audrey is my maternal Grandma, she was a Christian woman who lived by the word. No drinking, cussing, cheating...etc. When you were talking to her, and what you said was sad, happy... she would always say ..Aww. When she got frustrated with something she was doing she would say the closest thing to a cuss word she ever allowed herself, which was sshet. I can't type it like she said it, and she would die all over again if she knew I was telling this I have a reason though. I have noticed that all of the women in this family, my Mom and sisters and a couple of nieces, "all" use both of those expressions quite naturally.

Grandma was a lady, she always smelled like face powder and a perfume from Avon called Cotillion, and cedar. She made all of her own clothing, and quite a bit for us too. If you stopped by you better be ready to eat, because she "was" going to feed you. She would always want to pay you for doing things for her and she would find a way to slip that money somewhere. Grandpa died 20 years or so before her, his name was Roy, and he loved to fish. The day she passed, her last words were, "I wonder where Roy's at. He must be on that river fishin, I just can't keep him off that river."
