Biography

Adelaide "Addie" Gertrude Hargrove, daughter of William Hargrove and Susan Tippett, was born October 10, 1857 at Homer, Claiborne Parish, Louisiana. ^{[1] [2]} In 1860 Addie resided with her parents and two older brothers in Claiborne Parish, Louisiana. ^[3] By 1870 the family had moved to Texas and she had one additional younger sibling. ^[4]

Addie became a school teacher. She married Silas Wright Bryarly on 24 January 1878 at Elder Baptist Church in Hopkins County, Texas. ^[5]They had 9 children:

Addie, Silas, and their first two children resided at Franklin, Texas in 1880. ^[8] By 1900 they were living at Sulphur Springs in Hopkins, Texas, with 6 of their seven living children. ^[9] Still there in 1910, they'd had another daughter. ^[10] Addie and Silas were living there in 1920 with their daughter and a grand daughter.

Addie Hargrove Bryarly died of breast cancer on December 11, 1925 at Sulphur Springs, Hopkins County, Texas. Addie and her parents are buried at Sulpher Springs City Cemetery. ^[2]
