1839 Children were taken at weaning age to the Parramatta Orphanage.
This would have happened to Mary Harkin immediately & then the infant Bridget Harkin when she reached that age. [1]
1841 Scarlet Fever (Scarletina) Epidemics were reported in Sydney only waxing and waning over the decades following. [2]There are no records to indicate their survival past 1843.
