Biography

John Enoch Harmon was born May 11, 1851, the son of Marshall Harmon and Ann Hanscom. ^[1]

John married Calista S. Crocker, born May 6, 1853. John and Calista were the parents of one son, Ernest Vance Harmon, born April 13, 1881, in Yreka, Siskiyou County, California. ^[2] Calista died October 11, 1886 and is buried in the Evergreen Cemetery, in Yreka. ^[3]

John is found on the 1900 Census, living in Siskiyou, California, with his second wife Nellie O. Scheld, who he married in June 5, 1890, and his two sons, Orris and Earnest, from his first marriage. ^[4]

John died January 12, 1940 and was buried in the Evergreen Cemetery, in Yreka ^[5]
