Biography

Cutliff was born in North Carolina in 1809. He was the son of Matthias Harmon and Sally Sheets.

He married Peninah Newby 23 Jun 1830 in Washington, Indiana.[1] They were the parents of the following children, according to FamilySearch:

  1. Ninevah Harmon 1833-1900
  2. Anna Harmon b 1834
  3. Catherine Harmon 1836-1907
  4. Pvt. Jasper Harmon 1839-1862
  5. Mary Jane Harmon 1840-1918
  6. Orpha Harmon 1843-1929
  7. Nancy Harmon b 1847
  8. Lewis Casper Harmon 1849-1932
  9. Eli Pierce Harmon 1852-1944
  10. William H. Harmon 1855-1928

He died in 1868 and is buried in Newby Cemetery.
