Mary Harrell's original profile said she was born in 1660 [marked "certain"] in Anson, North Carolina,[1] however Anson was not formed until 1750 and the area was still wilderness in 1660, so birth place data is wrong and has been deleted.
She is also said to have married Christopher Gewin (1660-1720).[1] He lived in Nansemond County, Virginia, [county records lost] where Harrells lived. A document is needed to support this marriage before he can be [re]attached.
Son Christopher Gewin Jr. (abt.1683-abt.1748) appoints his daughter Mary (Guin) Harrell (abt.1704-aft.1755) one of the executors in his 1748 will. A casual reader may have assumed it was Sr.'s will. If so, this Mary may never have existed.
