Biography

Letty Harrell was born about 1771, in Virginia (possibly Dunmore). She was the daughter of Moses Harrell (1735-1802) and his wife Elizabeth Blackford (1737-1790).

She married John Parker (1766-1844) in Nelson, KY on 14 Apr 1792[1][2][3] She is recorded as "Sally" in some but not all records. They were the parents of the following children:

Nancy Parker Hogue
Basil Parker
William Parker
Elizabeth Parker
Abby Parker
Mary Parker
John Parker

She died before 1840. Her burial place is not known.

Research Notes

Removed Elizabeth Blue Blue-262 as mother. Elizabeth was married to Letty's brother Noah. Letty's mother was Elizabeth Blackford Harrell (1737 VA - 1790 KY) according to the best research I've been able to find, but that doesn't align with the two wives given for Moses Harrell already. And Moses' father was indeed Richard Harrell and his mother was another Elizabeth UNKNOWN, as given. I hope this makes sense, I have three different Harrell ladies in my direct ancestry and I want to untangle them.

Coming back to clean up GEDcom and improve the bio.

Unlikely she was born in Kentucky as originally listed, as settlement of Ohio and Indiana did not begin until later and her father was from Virginia.

FamilySearch link has some helpful sources but has Elizabeth Blue as mother - believe this is incorrect and will detach her siblings from Elizabeth Blue as I am able.
