Research Questions

Was this Charles Herrington the child of Charles William Herrington and Bena Penelope Arrenton? Nancy Herrington included the following note on the Pedigree Resource File she submitted to FamilySearch:

Re: Enoch Herrington b.about 1790 Georgia/N.carolina Message: I show Charles born about 1738, Craven County, North Carolina and died 1822 in Mississippi which matches my other family names. At one point I found census records of a Charles Harrington with a William Herrington, Sr. b abt 1755 in Craven North Carolina. However, I lost my documentation. I'm pretty sure it was the 1800 census. I found a Charles Harrington yesterday on the 1790 census for Craven County. Haven't come up with anything yet on John Harrington from South Carolina. Essentially I get leads from the internet (oftern inaccurate) then go chase them down in the genealogy libraries. I am going again today and will update if I find anything. Here is what I have for Charles Harrington's children, which I knew for sure the source. DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Charles by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Charles:

Harrington-7069 and Harrington-423 do not represent the same person because: more research needed, It looks like to me that Charles Harrington is father of Charles of Tennessee Harrington and not the same person.
Harrington-423 and Harrington-847 appear to represent the same person because: Duplicates- please merge
