Thomas Benjamin Harris was born in 1898 in Wollombi, New South Wales, Australia as the second child of Thomas George Harris and Frances Mary Goldsmith. He had one sibling, namely: Clarence Roy. He died on 07 Feb 1980 in Pitt Town, New South Wales, Australia. When he was 24, he married Mayon Eleanor Bailey,daughter of Albert Julius Bailey and Sarah Jane Akhurst, on 15 Jul 1922 in Wollombi, New South Wales, Australia.
