John Harris took Catherine Daugherty as his first wife.[citation needed] They were the parents of Abner, Joseph, and Irene.
About 1865, he married Margaret Snelson. Their children were Martha, twins Mark and Sampson, Fannie and Caroline.
He passed away in 1926. He is buried at Marlow Cemetery in Stephens County, Oklahoma.[1][2]
