Died after 1702 in Virginia, either Henrico or New Kent County (Henrico in datafield, based on birth and marriage locations).[5]
Love Harris
The will of Thomas Harris, eldest son of William Harris, names his "sister in law Love Harris". In the modern sense, this would mean Love married into the Harris family. However, the term was used to mean stepsister in colonial America. Thomas was the son of William's first wife, Love was probably Alice and William's daughter.[6]
[West-1333|Alice West Harris] was married in England to Lt Col Thomas Harris, who died in Charles City Co VA. This is not the same lady, but may explain why some researchers call our Alice by the LNAB West.
↑ Marriage location field had "Albemarle, Henrico County" but Albemarle did not exist as a parish or county at that time.
↑ Death location field had "Henrico, New Kent County, Virginia" - Henrico parish existed, but never served New Kent County; New Kent County existed in 1702 but was not formed from Henrico County, so it was not the same land.
↑ for example, "Concomitantly, terms for sibling relationships by marriage are commonly expressed as brother-in-law or sister-in-law." (from this page)

This says "We know..." but gives no clue about how 'they know'.

Wouldn't that make her a half-sister? Or does this mean the first William? Love's birth date is estimated at 1660 (based on what?) -- according to the dates given, Alice wasn't married to either William in 1660.
ooh Katherine! I think this Alice was the mom of the Love Harris mentioned in the will of Thomas Harris-888 - bottom of page 267 in Adventurers of Purse and Person - she was second wife of William Harris (Love's dad) and Thomas was son by his first wife.
