This Martha Harris was actually the daughter of Robert Harris d1659 and Mary Jane Crump, who had married the Isle of Wight County Clerk John Jennings who had taken control of the Robert Harris estate in 1659 as the husband of the deceased daughter Martha Harris. The other daughter Mary Harris later married Anthony Spilltimber and they sued John Jennings in 1665 for their share of the estate of the deceased Robert Harris and that of the deceased Martha Harris Jennings. Their is a 2001 book by John Brayton on The Descendants of Capt John Jennings that cites that all of his children were by his 2nd wife and not Martha Harris. Since she did not have any children, any DNA reference to her in an Ancestry autosomal test is taken from incorrect Ancestral trees, not from any scientific analysis.
